Twenty Five Weeks

Friday, November 24, 2017

How far along: 25 weeks 6 days
Weight gain: 9 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Flat as a pancake!
Sleep: Sleeping much better! Baby girl wakes me up with her dance parties sometimes, but I don't mind one bit. :)
Best moment this week: My baby shower was completely wonderful, and also spending Thanksgiving with our families and eating so much yummy food!
Worst moment this week: My heartburn and indigestion are just out of control. I wake up in so much pain in the middle of the night sometimes that I have to take Tums on top of taking Zantac.
Miss anything: Not having heartburn and indigestion...I definitely didn't have it this bad with Bay!
Movement: Feeling her a lot more often unless I'm having a busy day and moving around a lot. I can tell she's getting huge!
Cravings: Honestly, nothing really this week besides milk.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Not really! Feeling pretty
Looking forward to: Hitting the third trimester! We are soooo close!

Baby Sprinkle Shower!

Monday, November 20, 2017

Since Baby Girl #2 is getting a lot of hand-me-downs from Baylee, we decided to have a small, simple "Baby Sprinkle" for our shower this time! My sister-in-law, Jenny, threw it for us at her house with a "Sprinkle Donut" theme, and it turned out absolutely perfect. We all had so much fun, and I felt so blessed!

We had "brunch" to go along with the donut theme. We ate scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, and of course donuts (including a huge and delicious donut cake)! We had mimosas and "momosas" for those of us who can't drink the bubbly. ;) It was the most gorgeous weather, so we were able to sit outside to eat our food and enjoy the family being together.

After playing a few games, and announcing the diaper raffle winner, I opened gifts for sweet baby girl. I was having so much fun, and then I opened a card from one of my sisters that said "Worth the Wait" on the front. It totally caught me off guard, and I started crying. There are absolutely no words to describe the happiness that I was feeling opening baby gifts again. I honestly thought for a long while that I was never going to get that experience ever again, so the whole day was just so surreal. I'm still completely giddy that we got to celebrate our little IVF miracle with such a special day!

"Made with lots of love and a little science."

It was such a wonderful shower, and I can't thank Jenny, everyone who helped her, and everyone who came enough! We are so ready to turn our little party of 3 into a party of 4 in just a few short months!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Four Weeks

Thursday, November 16, 2017

How far along: 24 weeks 5 days
Weight gain: 8 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Almost completely flat now!
Sleep: Bad nights and good nights.
Best moment this week: We had a wonderful afternoon/evening at Disneyland this week. I'm so glad that my back isn't acting up this pregnancy (I had terrible sciatica with Baylee) so that I can actually enjoy myself and get some exercise!
Worst moment this week: Nothing pregnancy related, but my poor Baylee girl has tonsillitis and it's breaking my heart! :(
Miss anything: Not having heartburn and indigestion! I'm having to take Zantac every 12 hours.
Movement: She has very quiet days and some super active days. Right now she should be over a foot long and over 1.5 pounds!
Cravings: Yesterday was a tuna sandwich and an entire can of cranberry sauce. Together. Let the weird cravings begin!
Anything make you queasy or sick: Only when I eat something that aggravates my indigestion
Looking forward to: My baby shower is in a few days! I'm ridiculously excited!

Here's my poor sicky girl loving on baby sis:

Until next time! XoXoXo

The Coziest November

Monday, November 13, 2017

Anyone who knows me, knows that the fall and winter are my jam, because some of my favorite things in the world are cozy blankets, socks/slippers, and mugs. (Like, don't even talk to my husband about my mug addiction. ;) I really think he secretly loves it.) There has been no shortage of cozy things in stores this year, so I rounded up my favorites from Target!

1/2/3/4/5/6/7

Side note: I happen to know for a fact that the number 1 and 2 blankets are going to be on sale for only $10 on Black Friday, and they come in a few different colors! Guess who will be adding two new blankets to their ever growing collection? ;)

What are your favorite things to keep you cozy in the colder months? Any awesome Black Friday deals you know about already?

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Three Weeks

Friday, November 10, 2017

How far along: 23 weeks 6 days
Weight gain: 6 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Starting to get flat as a pancake!
Sleep: Sleeping okay, but waking up with raging heartburn/indigestion.
Best moment this week: Baby had an echocardiogram on Monday and everything looks perfect with her and her little heart! I can't believe how big she's getting!
Worst moment this week: On Wednesday, I woke up feeling nauseous (similar to morning sickness) but figured I was just hungry. I went to Disneyland for a girls day out and spent the morning throwing up in the bathroom. :( It was not fun and I felt crappy the rest of the day. In hind sight, I think it had to do with the bad heartburn and indigestion I've been having. I've been taking Zantac and it's really helping; I just don't have a very big appetite.
Miss anything: Nothing really bad, I'm content :)
Movement: Feeling her many, many times a day! She's especially active at night when I'm laying quietly.
Cravings: Still apples with peanut butter and strawberry milkshakes, but not necessarily together...but I'm also not opposed.
Anything make you queasy or sick: My indigestion
Looking forward to: My baby shower next weekend! I can't wait!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Baby Registry Favorites

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

My baby shower is only 12 days away, and I've been having fun adding some last minute things to my BabyList registry. (PSA: If you need to make a registry, BabyList has been my absolute favorite registry ever, and I've had them all!) Since this is Baby #2, I already have a lot of the essentials and have been able to mostly focus on some of the fun stuff this time! I'll probably do a post sometime on what I think the absolute "must-haves" for a registry are, but for now here are some of my favorite brands and fun items that are on my registry that you may not have thought of!

Pictured:

1. Milk Snob car seat cover. These are my new favorite things, and I really wish I had known about them when Baylee was born. They can be used as a car seat cover, a nursing cover, or a cover for shopping carts and restaurant high chairs. The fabric they use is so soft, and they come in a ton of fun patterns and prints. We have this black and white stripe one and this rainbow confetti one, and I can't wait to try them out on baby's new car seat!

2. Twistshake pacifiers. I have been working in collaboration with Twistshake and trying out a lot of their products for both Baylee and me, so I can't wait to try out these pacis for baby girl! Everything I have gotten from Twistshake I have loved. Baylee has the kid cup and I have the hot & cold bottle. Right now I use it for water, but I can't wait to use it to bring extra breast milk with us wherever we go with baby! They also make toddler sippy cups, baby bottles, and teethers so I plan on trying it all. In fact, Twistshake is so amazing that right now they are offering my readers 20% off of your entire order using this code: coffeeandgraceblog20

3. Fawn Design bags. Right now I have the changing clutch from Fawn Design, and I love it so much that I registered for one of their diaper bags! The leather is so soft and pretty, and the bags are perfect to wear as either a backpack or shoulder strap bag. They're also very roomy, so you can fit all of the crazy things that will end up in your diaper bag! :)

4. June & January baby basics. Everyone who knows me, knows I'm a huge fan of J&J so naturally I cannot wait to get some of their clothes on our newest babe! I registered for swing dresses, hoodie jumpers, and side snap body suits and already stocked up on some of their knotted hats and newborn snap tops! Also, if you're looking for a super soft and stretchy receiving blanket, their basic blankets are the absolute best!

5. Logan & Alice teethers. These are the cutest silicone teethers that I can't wait for baby girl to try out. We went with a pineapple because it will be summer once she is really teething (and a pineapples are a huge symbol in the IVF world), but you can also choose from a fox, a teepee, and soon, a sprinkle cookie!

6. Babyganics products. When it comes to soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. for baby I have pretty much tried every brand Target sells, and Babyganics is my all time favorite for all of the above. Baylee has had eczema since she was a tiny baby, and it is the only brand that never makes her have a flare. Everything I have tried smells amazing, and I never feel like I am paying too much for the amount that I am getting!

Not pictured:

7. Owlet Smart Sock. To be perfectly honest, I used to think the Owlet was a complete waste of money until my sister had my niece. With her being a NICU baby, everyone was very nervous once it was time to bring her home. My sister has been using the owlet on her for a couple of months now, and I am completely sold on the importance of owning this product! It gives my sis so much peace of mind knowing her daughter is sleeping safely at night. Worth every penny for that kind of sanity!

8. Binxy Baby shopping cart hammock. This is seriously one of the best ideas I have ever seen, especially for a second baby! If you're not in the mood to baby wear, it's so easy to just strap baby in to the hammock and be good to go! No clunky car seat taking up all the room in the cart, and it still keeps the shopping cart seat clear for big sis or bro!

9. Solly Baby wrap. I have my Ergo carrier that I am so excited to use, but I am also really hoping to get a Solly wrap. Using a wrap is definitely a different kind of baby wearing, and, for me, I feel like it is more comfortable and relaxing especially in the early days! I love the natural grey and stripe and the rose quartz

10. Boon grass drying rack. For Baylee, we had a basic drying rack for her bottles, but I just love how cute the Boon sets are! They also don't take up too much counter space which is definitely a plus when there's a lot going on in the kitchen!

I am so excited to spend the next few months getting everything ready for baby! What are your favorite products that are/were on your registry? I'm always on the lookout for fun, new stuff!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Two Weeks

Friday, November 3, 2017

How far along: 22 weeks 6 days
Weight gain: 5 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Still in, but definitely flatter.
Sleep: Still sleeping much better! I wake up at least once to pee but nothing like a few weeks ago.
Best moment this week: We had another great OB appointment. Baby's heart rate was 146, and everything looks perfect!
Worst moment this week: I'm having hip and lower back pain here and there, but it's nothing unbearable.
Miss anything: I could go for a glass of wine or a mimosa lol
Movement: Feeling her much more often now. I can tell shes getting stronger because her movements are a little more forceful. She should be a pound or so now and about 11-12 inches long.
Cravings: Apples with peanut butter and strawberry milkshakes but nothing else really right now.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: I get to see baby girl again on Monday because I am having a fetal echo-cardiogram. It's nothing of major concern, but something my perinatal center does as a standard procedure for IVF babies. I'm just looking forward to seeing her on the ultrasound again. :)

Until next time! XoXoXo
