Natalie At 2 1/2!

Monday, August 10, 2020

My Natalie Louise turned 2.5 yesterday, so I figured it was time to do a little update on her! This little chick is one smart cookie, and she’s honestly a joy to have around. She, of course, drives me crazy, As 2-year-olds will do, but she has a very sweet disposition most of the time and is so much fun!

 Here are her latest stats:

Age: 2 1/2

Weight: 26.5 lbs

Height: 34 inches

Clothing size: 2T

Teeth: Everything but her 2-year molars! So far one has cut but we are waiting on the other 3.

Favorite foods: She eats a peanut butter and jelly sandwich almost every day! She’s obsessed. She also loves cereal, fruit, steak, and broccoli.

Words: This girl is an amazing talker, and I’m so proud of her. She can already keep up with her sister in pretend games, and loves to chit chat with me about her toys and favorite things. She can count to 10 unassisted, 20 assisted, and sings her own little version of the ABC’s. She’s very polite and uses her manners so well for her age. She’s quick to apologize and always says “Thank you” and “no thank you”.

Favorite activities: playing outside (doesn’t matter what she just loves being outside), coloring, reading books, and playing in the play room.

Least favorite activities: She doesn’t like being told she can’t do something that she wants to do, but she gets over her fits super fast. She’s definitely not a prolonged crier/tantrum thrower so it’s nice. When she’s mad she can be easily distracted by something else.

Favorite toys: Little people, stuffed animals, baby dolls, and the play kitchen.

Signature moves: Insisting on saying goodnight to everyone in the house a second time to avoid bed. Rejecting her food when I put it in front of her, but if I leave it there for a while, she will eat everything on the plate. Telling Baylee “You my best fwen.”

I can’t believe in 6 short months we will be celebrating this girl’s 3rd birthday and then she will be become a big sister shortly after that! It’s going to be the best!

Happy half birthday my Natty Lou! Mommy loves you more than I could ever explain!

Baby Tibbetts #3!

Thursday, July 30, 2020

It’s still hard to believe, but Baby #3 is officially on the way! If you follow along on my Instagram, you know that I was truly struggling with the decision of what to do next after our miscarriage in March. We have two beautiful girls, so of course I knew I would be happy no matter what, but there was a part of me that just didn’t feel like our family was complete. God gave me a lot of time to mull it over, because two months past my miscarriage, I still hadn’t got my period back. I decided to see my fertility doctor, and he asked if my goal was to do another cycle. I told him I was still at the “wait and see” point, so he gave me medication to help bring my cycle back and I promised myself that no matter what I was going to make the decision for me. Not for Brian, not for the kids, just me.

I made the appointment for my baseline ultrasound and testing still not knowing for sure what I wanted to do. But during my ultrasound I got really good vibes and my doctor said he had never seen my uterus look so beautiful (misshapen but beautiful!) That was the sign I needed, so I decided to move forward. I got all my meds in and told a very excited Brian that we were going to give it one last shot!

It was SO hard to keep it a secret, but I knew I needed to just focus, and it ended up being a great decision. On June 17th (my  Nanny’s (grandma) birthday!) we transferred a beautiful frozen embryo, and prayed that this one wold be our Baby #3!

Sure enough, when blood test day rolled around I had an HCG level of 782! We were very elated, but knew this was only step one after having experienced two losses. We hurdled step 2 and made it farther than my loss in March with a second HCG draw in the 9,000s. I was supposed to have my first ultrasound a couple weeks later, but I started bleeding a little and freaked out. My doctor was able to get me in first thing the next morning. We found out I just have a super small hematoma, and saw our little grain of rice baby and the slightest flicker of a heartbeat!

Since then I have had a couple more ultrasounds and each one the baby has shown growth, which is wonderful! The last appointment I had, baby had a wonder heart rate of 168 and looked amazing! I have what should be my last ultrasound with my fertility doctor tomorrow, and then after that I should be free to see my O.B. and continue on as a normal pregnancy! I am so excited to be done with shots and to watch my belly grow one last time! :)

Thank you again for your support and prayers, and for following along on our journey! We love you all!

Baylee is 6!

Thursday, July 16, 2020

Yesterday my big girl turned 6 and had the best day! I had Brian take her for a drive for couple of hours and she came home to a little surprise ice cream party with some of her little girlfriends! It was so fun, and simple...the best kind of day!

It’s hard to believe that this girl is 6 already, I really don’t know how time has flown so fast! She is reading books like crazy, and is a little sponge brain. She loves to learn about animals and science, and she can remember all kinds of facts. She is becoming my little bestie more each day. She loves to cuddle and chit chat, but she has a wild side that loves to dance and put on a show. I love the little person she is becoming more than I could ever explain!

Summer Bucket List

Friday, June 19, 2020

Normally, at this time, we would already be getting things ready for Baylee to start school in a little over 3 weeks. (Her school starts mid-July.) Since we won’t be going back until August or September, though, we get an extended summer with our girl! Our bucket list looks very different this year without trips to Disneyland or swim lessons. We still want to make it a magical summer, though so we made a bucket list of fun things we can do!

What is on your summer bucket list this year?

Baylee the Kinder Grad!

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Ever since Baylee was a baby, I have always pictured what her Kindergarten graduation would be like. It’s such a special transition from “little one“ to “big kid”. Never in a million years did I think she would be finishing Kindergarten at home in the midst of a pandemic, but here we are! We were so blessed that Baylee’s teacher this year was beyond amazing and made sure we had all the tools we needed to finish off this school year strong. It wasn’t easy, but Baylee managed to finish all her lessons, and is definitely ready for First Grade!

To celebrate her accomplishments, we had a mini graduation for her at our house complete with an i-phone “cap-and-gown” photo shoot, walking down the aisle to “Pomp & Circumstance” and a wonderful speech and diploma presentation from Baylee’s Uncle Andrew. It wasn’t the Kindergarten Graduation I had always envisioned attending, but it was perfect for us. The most important thing was that Baylee felt special and celebrated!

I am so proud of my girl, and I can’t wait to see what grade-school has in store for her!

Congratulations Baylee!

Easter 2020

Tuesday, April 14, 2020

This Easter was definitely way different than past Easters, but we tried to make the most of it despite being stuck at home. We missed family and being able to go places, but it was kind of nice to have a slow, quiet day.

Thankfully, I had thought ahead for Easter baskets, so everything had been ordered and delivered in time for E.B.’s arrival! The girls were so excited that he had actually came and filled their baskets!

Funny story, I didn’t check the sizes when ordering their stuffed bunnies, and Baylee’s ended up being 3 times bigger than Natalie’s. SMH. Thank God Natty is still too little to care!

The girls dove straight in to their baskets, and their happiness warmed my heart. I tried to keep it simple with a few fun things, some necessities, and a little candy.

Once their baskets were empty, they went straight to the egg hunt. Normally the Easter Bunny hides our eggs on the lawn outside, but we just had a 5-day long rainstorm, so he chose an indoor hunt this year just to be safe.

After the egg hunt, we had our annual french toast breakfast complete with Nutella and strawberries. The best!

We mostly stayed in jammies and hung out inside the rest of the day, making sure the girls got some outside time to enjoy our first sunny afternoon in a while. We ordered dinner to be dropped off on our porch from a restaurant since we have not had much energy to cook. (Still delish!) Next year will hopefully be so different, but I will forever hold this simple Easter dear to my heart.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
Hallelujah, He is risen!

Online Shopping Easter Basket

Sunday, March 22, 2020

I know these days we are all trying to stay out of stores as much as possible. Easter is only three weeks away, though, so I put together some ideas for Easter baskets that are all available online and should definitely come in time to put together an adorable basket for your kiddos! Just click the corresponding number underneath the graphic to shop each product!

It doesn’t look like any stores are shipping candy, but a quick Easter candy search on Amazon came up with a bunch of options!

I am putting together baskets with a summer theme again this year, so I will be sharing a blog post with everything that my girls will be getting later this week! Hopefully this little post helps you get started, though so we can still make this an amazing Easter that the kids will never forget! :)

What do you usually put in your kids Easter baskets?
