Pregnancy Favorites

Thursday, January 28, 2021

Now that I am in the final weeks of my third (and final) pregnancy, I want to share with you the products that have gotten me through all three! I do have blog posts broken down in to trimester with extra products from my pregnancy with Natalie, so I will link those at the bottom of this post, but these are my favorites of all time!

1. Pink Stork Tea This tea has gotten me through many bad days off morning (aka ALL DAY) sickness. I’m not a fan of ginger at all, but I feel like the tea masks the ginger flavor well using other flavors. The ginger peach is my favorite

2. Old Navy Maternity Leggings These are the most comfortable and affordable maternity leggings I have found. They are also perfect for postpartum.

3. Target Maternity Tees These are my favorite maternity tees ever. They are soft, stretchy, very inexpensive, and they come in tons of colors.

4. Personalized Tumbler Water intake is so important during pregnancy, and when I’m on the go I love to use my Hydroflask, but for home I find myself reaching more often for my tumblers. I have 5 of these now with different sayings on them, and they’re definitely worth every penny!

5. Pink Blush Maternity Jeans I feel like I have tried every brand of maternity jeans after having two fall/winter pregnancies, and the Pink Blush jeans I have are by far the most comfortable and best fit. They’re definitely worth the splurge, but they do have really good sales every so often so look out for that!

6. Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil So far, I have yet to get a single stretch mark, and while I know a lot of that is just luck/genetics, I really think keeping my skin hydrated has only helped. I put this oil on once a day starting in my first trimester, and twice a day in my third.

7. Maternity Shape-wear I love the maternity shape-wear from Amazon for under dresses. It keeps everything smooth and comfortable, especially for maternity pictures!

8. Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt I have taken SO many baths this pregnancy, and I put epsom salt in every time to soothe my achy muscles. You can always get plain epsom salt and add essential oils, but I love the different kinds that Dr. Teal’s has, especially the Pink Himalayan!

Also, not pictured, is Babylist! Using it for my registry has been the best because I can register for products from all of my favorite companies, and the app tells baby shower guests where they can get the best deal!

And finally, this isn’t a product per se, but did you know you can order almost any Starbucks drink half caff?! I just found out this year, and it has helped me be able to get all my favorite espresso drinks without coming too close to my 200mg limit of caffeine! Such a game changer!

If there are any other pregnancy products that you are wondering what my brand recommendation would be, let me know! I am happy to help! :)

Christmas 2020

Sunday, December 27, 2020

Christmas 2020 was definitely a little different, but we have zero complaints over here at the Tibbetts house. It was just as fun and magical as ever, and two days later I can’t help but feel so blessed!

Brian had to work on Christmas Day, so we decided to do a bulk of our celebrating on Christmas Eve. We put all the gifts we got the girls and what we got for each other under the tree, so the girls were so excited that morning...especially for their new bean bag chairs!

We had a late breakfast with my family (including Rudolph pancakes of course!) and it was the best time. It’s been a long time since all of us were together in one house so that family time was by far the best gift ever.

After my family headed out in the afternoon, Brian’s parents came over for Christmas Eve dinner. I knew I would be exhausted from hosting breakfast, so I got our entire dinner catered from a local restaurant, and it was the best decision ever. The food was delicious and there was very little prep. After dinner we opened the rest of the gifts and made a huge mess of wrapping paper and toys. It was so much fun, and the girls loved every moment. They were most excited to exchange the gifts they had picked out for each other...we will definitely keep sister gifts a tradition for years to come.

After a quick check outside to see if it was dark enough for Santa to come, cookies and milk were put out. We also did something a little different this year and made reindeer food with oatmeal and Christmas sprinkles instead of leaving out carrots. I think they liked it even better ;)

The next morning, I was up at 6:00, but the girls slept in until 7:30! They were so thrilled that Santa liked our treats, and dove straight in to their stockings.

We ate some candy, and played with some stocking toys just to make the magic last a little bit longer. Then we finally went over to the tree to open the gifts that Santa left. I’m pleased to report they got everything they wanted.

We continued my childhood tradition of cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and had the most relaxing morning opening up new toys and playing with them. My Dad stopped by to give them one last gift...a power wheels two-seater Jeep! They were so excited and I know it’s going to be hours of fun for them!

Brian worked the last two days, so this morning we are waiting for him to get home so he can get caught up on all the gifts Santa brought! Being a fire family during the holidays is never easy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are one blessed family, and Christmas 2020 was one I will always hold dear to my heart. (Especially since it was my last pregnant Christmas ever!) Now bring on 2021, I’m ready to meet my newest little girlfriend!

Hope you all had a merry, safe, and wonderful Christmas filled with love!

Seven Month Bumpdate

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

How far along: 7 months (28 weeks 4 days)
Weight gain: 10 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: flat as a pancake!
Sleep: Sleep is getting to be hit or miss. Some nights I knock, and others I’m tossing and turning.
Best moment this month: Seeing our sweet girl on a 3D/4D scan! She’s so stinking cute and looks just like Natty!
Worst moment this month: The back pain and indigestion are getting out of control
Miss anything: Mostly just my body being my own. I love and am so happy that I’m pregnant again, but my body just doesn’t handle it well.
Movement: All day every day! She rarely stops lol
Cravings: Eggo waffles with peanuts butter and honey, iced coffee, and egg & cheese burritos
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nothing makes me nauseous, but almost everything gives me indigestion even with taking meds every day
Looking forward to: Having another scan done at the hospital this week to find out what is going on with my placenta. We should be able to make the call based on that whether I can have a vaginal birth or have to have a c-section.

Christmas Maternity Shoot

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Just like when I was pregnant with Natalie, we decided to do Christmas maternity pictures again! I love them so much, that I wanted to post them in a blog to share with all of you! Thank you so much to Randi & Chris at  Genesis Imagery you captured our family magically as always!
