Thirty Weeks

Thursday, December 28, 2017

How far along: 30 weeks 5 days
Weight gain: 18 pounds...baby girl is getting so big!
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: Sleeping okay, but pregnancy insomnia is starting to kick in. It's really hard to get back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: We had a wonderful Christmas, and I loved eating ALL the treats without feeling an ounce of guilt! :)
Worst moment this week: Confirming at my OB appointment yesterday that baby girl is super breech! There are definitely worse things, but there's now a super high (like 90%) chance that I will have to have a C-section. Because of my bicornuate uterus, chances are very slim that she has enough room to flip in time for delivery. I've been having vibes that this might happen since early in pregnancy, so I've been trying to wrap my head around it for a while, but I'm still super terrified.
Miss anything: I definitely could go for a Philly Roll (sushi) and a margarita.
Movement: Yes! Because she is breech I feel a lot of kicks down low (my poor bladder!) and she shoves her huge head into my rib cage (which explains my awful heartburn).
Cravings: Nothing in particular except salad.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Finishing the nursery and getting the house ready for baby's arrival! Now that we know for sure she will be born by the end of February (I will have a scheduled C-section at 39 weeks if I don't go into labor before then) everything just got super real! Let the nesting begin!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Christmas 2017!

Tuesday, December 26, 2017

Christmas 2017 was absolutely magical! I honestly think Baylee being 3 this year made it the best ever; she totally understands every aspect of the holiday now and made it so much fun for all of us!

We started out our celebration at Brian's parents home in the mountains. We had a delicious dinner, and then Santa paid Baylee and her cousin Adalyn a surprise visit where they each got to open one gift from him early. It was so much fun seeing their excitement that Santa was actually at their grandparents' house!

As soon as we got home, we put cookies and milk out for Santa and read "The Night Before Christmas". Baylee eagerly went to sleep (for once) so that Santa could come and hopefully bring her everything she had asked him for. I have never seen her so excited to go to sleep!

On Christmas morning, Brian, my sister, my baby niece Kennedy, and I were all up before Baylee, so it was perfect. We put finishing touches on everything we had set up the night before, made our coffee, and started a fire in the fireplace. We heard Baylee starting to wake up, so Brian rang some jingle bells outside her bedroom door to remind her what day it was. She was so excited to run out and see all her presents. She got everything she asked for including a Chubby Puppy, a kitty surprise, a dinosaur book, and a cradle for a new baby doll. I had tears in my eyes all morning from her excitement and gratitude. She was full of "Thank yous" and "This is what I always wanted"! :)

After presents, we had a delicious breakfast of cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, and potatoes o'brien; then, we got ready for the rest of our day. We all loaded up into the van and had lunch with my grandma (Nanny) and then a wonderful lasagna dinner with my dad. The whole day was super relaxed and easy, it was seriously a dream Christmas for me. (Especially being so preggo and tired lol).

We ended the night with my sister insisting that I took a bump picture in front of my dad's tree, and I'm so glad she suggested it! It turned out adorable, and got me so excited that I will be trading my big ol' bump for a sweet baby girl in just a matter of weeks! Best gift ever!

I hope you all had magical Christmases just like we did!
So excited to see what 2018 has to bring!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Nine Weeks

Tuesday, December 19, 2017

How far along: 29 weeks 3 days
Weight gain: 14 pounds (Put on a little from all the Christmas treats I've been eating lol)
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Out...I think it's also time to take this question "out" lol
Sleep: Sleeping good, but definitely getting the third trimester exhaustion. Everything I do makes me tired.
Best moment this week: We had another great doctors appointment, and the nurse practitioner prescribed Omeprazole (Prilosec) for me for my heartburn, and omg what a game changer! I have only felt my heartburn once since I started taking it!
Worst moment this week: Nothing in particular, but in general I'm just starting to slow down and be really tired, so it's been hard to keep up with Baylee and the house. I went grocery shopping the other day and felt like I needed to sleep for a week after!
Miss anything: Not making noises when I get out of bed or off the couch. Ha.
Movement: Yes! Baby girl is around 3 pounds and 15-16 inches
Cravings: Nothing, I feel like such a boring preggo this time!
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Christmas next week! Being pregnant at Christmas time has been so much fun for me!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Eight Weeks

Wednesday, December 13, 2017

How far along: 28 weeks 4 days
Weight gain: 12 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Out
Sleep: Sleeping much better, waking up a few times a night to pee or change positions, but nothing crazy!
Best moment this week: Baylee had her first dance recital, and baby was going crazy during the whole thing! I really think she loved the music. :) So cute!
Worst moment this week: Cleaning up Baylee's throw up when she had the stomach flu on Monday was, by far, one of the hardest things I've ever had to do pregnant! I still can't get the smell out of my nose!
Miss anything: My appetite, I just haven't been very hungry lately.
Movement: Oh yes, I can tell she's getting huge! According to my app she should be around 2.5 pounds and 15 inches long!
Cravings: Nothing really, I have no idea why, but this week I've been kind of forcing myself to eat food. Nothing really sounds good.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: I have another OB appointment today! Can't wait to hear little girl's heartbeat! Every day is one day closer to meeting her! :)

Until next time! XoXoXo

Toddler Christmas Jammies

Monday, December 11, 2017

Every year, my mom would get my sisters and me a new pair of Christmas jammies as our "one present" that we were allowed to open on Christmas Eve! I have tried desperately to keep up the tradition with Baylee, but I am such a sucker for cute jams that I always end up giving them to her to start wearing in the beginning of December! There aren't many things in the world cuter than a toddler in cozy Christmas PJs sipping hot chocolate in front of the tree. :) Here are some of my favorite pairs of pajamas for both boys and girls this year:

1//2//3//4//5

Baylee woke up with the stomach flu in the wee hours of the morning today, so I have never appreciated having so many pairs of cozy jammies for her to wear more. Hopefully my girl is feeling better very soon, because there is so much more Christmas fun to be had over the next two weeks!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Twenty Seven Weeks

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

How far along: 27 weeks 3 days
Weight gain: 10.5 pounds
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Outie
Sleep: Sleep was going great until I got a cold :( Now I keep waking up congested.
Best moment this week: I found out that I passed my glucose test! I was so worried because I can't imagine having to give up Christmas treats! (My heart goes out to all of you with GD...you are so strong!)
Worst moment this week: Getting sick. Meh. Pregnancy colds are seriously the worst.
Miss anything: Well, it's come down to me having to cut things out of my diet that trigger my heartbur,n so I'm going to desperately miss spaghetti and basically anything with tomato in it. Womp.
Movement: Definitely, she loves to have a dance party right before I fall asleep every night. :)
Cravings: Sweet potatoes. How random is that?
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Only 4 more days until the third trimester! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Christmas Bucket List

Saturday, December 2, 2017

It's only December 2nd and we have already knocked the first two things off our Christmas Bucket List! I know this is going to be one of those amazing Christmases, so I thought I'd share all the fun we have planned from now until the 25th!

Christmas Bucket List

1. Visit Santa so Baylee can tell him what she wants for Christmas and promise to be a good girl.
2. Mail out Christmas Cards.
3. Do a "Pay It Forward" act at least once a week. (Check out my list of pay it forward ideas here!)
4. Bake Christmas cookies and try at least one new recipe.
5. Read a Christmas book before bed every night.
6. Have a Christmas pajama party.
7. Watch at least one Christmas movie every day.
8. Drive around to look at lights on houses.
9. Buy a new ornament for the tree.
10. Wrap Christmas presents in pretty paper.
11. Make our annual Rudolph pancakes on Christmas Eve.
12. Do a few Christmas crafts. (Cotton ball snowmen maybe!)
13. Watch Baylee in her school's Christmas Recital. (She's a wiseman in the Nativity! How cute is that?!)
14. March in a local city's Christmas parade. (Baylee gets to do this with her dance studio and we are so excited!)
15. Give at least one toy to a toy drive.
16. Leave cookies, milk, and a letter out for Santa.

What fun traditions will you and your family be doing this year??

Until next time! XoXoXo
