Thirty Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks 5 days
Weight gain: 18 pounds...baby girl is getting so big!
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: Sleeping okay, but pregnancy insomnia is starting to kick in. It's really hard to get back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: We had a wonderful Christmas, and I loved eating ALL the treats without feeling an ounce of guilt! :)
Worst moment this week: Confirming at my OB appointment yesterday that baby girl is super breech! There are definitely worse things, but there's now a super high (like 90%) chance that I will have to have a C-section. Because of my bicornuate uterus, chances are very slim that she has enough room to flip in time for delivery. I've been having vibes that this might happen since early in pregnancy, so I've been trying to wrap my head around it for a while, but I'm still super terrified.
Miss anything: I definitely could go for a Philly Roll (sushi) and a margarita.
Movement: Yes! Because she is breech I feel a lot of kicks down low (my poor bladder!) and she shoves her huge head into my rib cage (which explains my awful heartburn).
Cravings: Nothing in particular except salad.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Finishing the nursery and getting the house ready for baby's arrival! Now that we know for sure she will be born by the end of February (I will have a scheduled C-section at 39 weeks if I don't go into labor before then) everything just got super real! Let the nesting begin!

Until next time! XoXoXo

  1. My son was breech with his leg in the birth canal. They did not want to attempt turning him because of the high possibility that his leg would be broken in the process. I had a planned csection and it really wasn’t that bad. I was driving in a little over a week. I think that the thing that helped me heal quickly was I constantly walked around the house throughout the days. Good luck and try not to stress out. You will handle this like a pro!

    1. Thank you Belinda!!! I’m definitely going to do my best to keep walking and moving so I’ll hopefully heal quicker! :)
