Nine Weeks

Monday, July 31, 2017

How far along: 9 weeks 2 days
Gender Prediction: So, from the start I was having major boy vibes, but now I'm kind of torn! Maybe I'll have a better idea in a couple weeks. (P.S. I was wrong with Baylee, soooo...)
Weight gain: I've lost 5 lbs (thanks morning sickness)
Maternity clothes: None yet, but I've started doing the "hairband trick" and using my Bella Band with my shorts
Stretch marks: Nope, I didn't get any with Baylee, so I am hoping that the trend continues. I've already started to put on my Palmer's Oil.
Belly button in or out: In, but already stretching
Sleep: Sleeping well, but having to get up to pee a lot.
Best moment this week: Seeing our little nugget at our last ultrasound at the fertility clinic! I have officially graduated to my OBGYN!
Worst moment this week: Had some bleeding again from the hematoma after my ultrasound. I know it's completely normal, but any amount of blood scares a preggo.
Miss anything: Loving food. I can't wait to not be nauseous anymore!
Movement: Not yet...baby it still too tiny!
Cravings: Naked Juice, watermelon, trail mix, peach greek yogurt, milk, and ramen noodles.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Pretty much just being alive. Haha...I'm nauseous most of the day with moments of relief here and there. After 5:00pm I'm no good and completely feel like I'm on a boat.
Looking forward to: Our first appointment with my OBGYN! I have missed her so much, and I know she will be so excited to see that I am finally pregnant again after all this time!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Love List

Thursday, July 27, 2017

Well, Tiny Baby Tibbetts Part II definitely has this mama feeling blah, but the morning sickness all day sickness is so worth it as long as there is a healthy baby come February! I promise to have a "bumpdate" very soon, but for now I thought I'd share a small love list of all my current favorites.

We just got a couple of happy mats from ezpz and mealtime has not been the same since! Baylee loves how silly it makes her lunch look and is more eager to finish her food from each "eye" and the "mouth". I seriously wish we had gotten these 2 years ago, because the non-slip grip on the bottom is a game changer. It definitely would have helped out so much when Baylee went through her "I'll just throw my plate on the floor." phase as a 1 year old! We have happy mats in pewter (shown in pic) and blush but all of the colors are absolutely beautiful! I think we need to try out a happy bowl next for cereal in the morning!

Recently, my sister turned me on to Rae Dunn Clay and I. Need. It. All. Rae Dunn designs the cutest mugs, bowls, canisters, and all sorts of fun stuff for the home. Right now, items from her collection are available at Home Goods, Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I have had some luck finding pieces on Amazon, however, so that's a good place to check first! My favorites right now are this Hubby & Wifey mug set, the I Can't Even mug, and this spoon rest

We are already in back-to-school time, and I can't believe it! This is the first year Baylee will go to preschool and it's giving me all the emotions. She is going to start with going twice a week for half days, so nothing too crazy, but enough that I'm going to miss her like mad! She already got a lot of school clothes for her birthday, but we definitely need a few more items, and I am loving the new items at OshKosh and Carter's this season! I know Baylee is going to live in shirts and leggings from there this fall and winter. This smocked flutter sleeved tee is perfect for every day, and I have got to get her these jeans. I don't want to spend a lot on clothes that are just going to get dirt, paint, and Lord knows what else on them while she is being a crazy preschooler, so both companies are inexpensive enough that I feel comfortable sending her to school in their clothing. Also, we already got Baylee a backpack from Target, but I just found this unicorn one on Pottery Barn Kids, and now I totally wish we had waited! Maybe for Kindergarten. :)

Last but not least, you may have noticed that the blog has a new header and a new name! "Coffee & Grace" is here to stay as my recipe for surviving this crazy adventure called motherhood. Though I'm not having very much, well any, coffee these days. ;) But I know I will be having my fair share as soon as this little babe comes along! Thank you to my friend, Daniella, for making me such a beautiful header for my new title! I love it soo much! :)

What do you all think of the new look/title???

Until next time! XoXoXo

Oh, Baby! Here We Go Again!

Thursday, July 20, 2017

I can't believe I am almost 8 weeks pregnant with my sweet little baby #2! I can't even begin to explain the prayers I prayed and the tears I cried over the years to get to this point, but here we are! Oh, so excited, and oh, so in love already with our little blueberry! :)

We found out that I was for sure pregnant a few days before my beta blood test which was scheduled for 11 days after my frozen embryo transfer. The second line on the home pregnancy test showed up before the control line even did, so I knew things looked great! My original hcg beta was wonderful and came back at 490 (they wanted it to be at 100!). A week later I had a second blood test, and my hcg had risen to 13,763 already which is absolutely amazing! We honestly started to worry about identical twins when we heard how much it rose. (There's only one babe, though...don't get crazy! ;) Haha)

I had my first ultrasound scheduled for a week later, but right before bed on the night of July 5th, I started to bleed. A lot. I freaked out thinking "There's no way this can be happening to me again." Thankfully, I was able to get a hold of my wonderful doctor, and he told me to relax, drink water, and come in for an ultrasound the next morning. I was a nervous wreck all night, but I tried my hardest to stay peaceful and remind myself that this baby's life is in God's hands no matter what. He knows what He is doing.

The next morning, I had my ultrasound, and not only did we see the sweet little bean, but baby was measuring a few days ahead. The bleeding was caused by a subchorionic hematoma in my uterus, but baby was going to be just fine! What a relief! :) (I do have to take it easy until the SCH absorbs itself which should happen no later than 20 weeks.)

We scheduled ultrasound #2 for a week later, and I was pretty nervous. The second ultrasound was when we found out that we had miscarried our last baby, and I was terrified of history repeating itself. Once the doctor got baby on the screen, though, there was obvious growth, and then we got to hear the best sound in the world...a tiny little fetal heart rate of 136 BPM. All the tears!!!

My official due date is 03.03.2018, however, because of my bicornuate uterus, I won't be able to carry to full term, so we are looking at a early to mid-February baby for sure! Right now, I am still under the care of my reproductive endocrinologist, but if all looks well at my next appointment, I will be released to my normal OBGYN! It is so crazy to me, and such a blessing that we have made it this far! I couldn't be happier, and I will start my weekly "bumpdates" on the blog very soon! I can't wait to document this pregnancy just like we did with Baylee. :)

Pink or blue, we love you, baby #2!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Baylee's Puppy Party!

Monday, July 17, 2017

Before Christmas, Baylee and I were having a conversation about what kind of party she would like to have for her third birthday. She told me that she wanted "a puppy party with a puppy cake!". I laughed thinking that she would definitely change her mind, but she held strong! I asked her what kind of party she wanted at least once a week, and she remained devoted to her precious puppy party! :) I was so excited, because it was so different and I got a chance to be really creative with it.

I decided to do neon colors with lots of polka dots and paw prints. I found some "puppy" party supplies at Party City, and then branched off of that with my own flair.

Besides Baylee in her perfect little dalmatian inspired outfit, my favorite part of the party was the dessert table! We had scooby snacks, rice krispie treat bones, chew toys (licorice), fetch sticks (pretzel rods), puppy chow, kibble (reese's puffs), "pup"cakes, and a beautiful cake covered in colorful paw prints as the centerpiece! It all turned out delicious and super cute!

Outside we had paw prints leading up to the door, and in the back yard is where we set up all the food and tables. Dinner was "pup"peroni pizza, "paw"sta salad, and a green salad. It was super hot, so pizza was the way to go because I didn't have to cook! Woot!

The kids got to run around the yard and play in a bounce house. We had water balloons for them to cool off with, and corn hole for the big kids to play. :) After presents, Baylee blew out the candles on her cake, and then we finished off the festivities with a bone shaped piñata! As Baylee's guests left, they got to pick out a puppy from a basket to "adopt" and take home with them along with a goodie bag.

I have to say this was probably the most fun birthday party that Baylee has had yet...I have no idea how we are going to top it next year! ;)

I feel so blessed that I was able to give my girl the special "puppy party" of her dreams! She was all smiles the whole time, and that made all the hard work worth it. I still can't believe my baby is 3!

Until next time! XoXoXo

This Is 3!

Thursday, July 13, 2017

Around this time of year, I'm usually posting a birthday update on Baylee and all her current favorites, but since she's such a big girl now I thought I would also let her speak for herself! :) This morning we did a little interview, and these were all of her answers:

Baylee's 3rd Birthday Interview

Favorite color?: pink
Favorite toy?: my stethoscope
Favorite food?: pink donuts
Favorite TV show?: Doc McStuffins
Favorite game?: Hi-ho Cherry-O
Favorite snack?: granola bars
Favorite animal?: tiger
Favorite song?: princess songs (meaning her Disney princess CD)
Favorite book?: The Potty Book (yes, like the one you use for potty training, even though she's been potty trained for 9 months! haha)
Best Friend?: Mimi (her Godmother/aunt)
Favorite Cereal?: strawberry cereal (Special K Red Berries)
Favorite thing to do outside?: swing
Favorite drink?: water
Favorite holiday?: Halloween
What toy do you take to bed with you at night?: Kitty Cat (her pink stuffed tiger)
Favorite movie: Beauty & The Beast (the cartoon version)
Favorite place to go?: Disneyland

I don't know what I would do without my sweet, crazy, smart girl! She's currently 36 inches and 31 pounds. She wears a size 3T and a size 7 shoe. Her favorite things in the world are Disney characters, dinosaurs, her doctor kit, puppies, and stuffed animals. She's a little sponge and has a love for learning that I hope she keeps forever. So far along with knowing all her colors and shapes she also can recognize all the letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-9. She's learning what sound letters make and is doing really well at guessing what letter a word starts with! She starts her first year of preschool next month, so I can't wait to see how she does!

The downside to having such a smart kiddo, of course, is that she's an absolute threenager. She already fights back with "that's not fair!" and is forever getting in to things that she shouldn't be. She's Miss Independent and is absolutely obsessed with doing things "all by myself like a big girl!".

As crazy as she might drive me, she's never short on love, hugs, and kisses. Touch is absolutely Baylee's love language, and she is very compassionate and caring when people she loves are sad or hurting. Sometimes when we are playing at home she will stop what she's doing just to come up to me and say "I love you, Mommy" and I am an absolute puddle. That girl has me wrapped around her finger, and she knows it. ;)

Happy 3rd birthday, my Baylee Boo!
My life would never be complete without you and your crazy, beautiful self!

Until next time! XoXoXo

Baylee's 3rd Birthday Photos!

Monday, July 10, 2017

Baylee's 3rd birthday is on Saturday, July 15th, so last week we took her to have some birthday pictures taken. I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! The couple who did the shoot, Randi and Chris from Genesis Imagery, were the absolute sweetest and completely captured the essence of our girl! All of the stuffed animals are her favorite ones that she takes to bed with her every night, and how cute is her little hand showing 3 fingers?! :)

This is just a handful of the 94 perfect pictures that Randi and Chris sent over to me. I think I'm in love!

If those shots don't scream Baylee, I don't know what does! I can't believe my girl is almost 3!

If you live in our area and are interested in having a shoot done, just check out the Genesis Imagery website, or e-mail Chris and Randi directly here

Until next time! XoXoXo

Land That I Love! (Independence Day 2017)

Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Did everyone have an amazing 4th of July?? We celebrated our independence by laying around on a California beach enjoying the sunshine and beautiful weather. :) It was perfect!

Baylee was her usual beach-loving self, and spent the entire day running up and down the beach, splashing in the water, and building sand castles with her daddy, cousin, and uncle!

We had a big group of family and friends, so it was a blast hanging out with everyone and eating some yummy food with our toes in the sand. The hike to the bathroom was a little crazy, but in all I can't think of a more relaxing way to spend our holiday!

Baylee was so tired when we decided to pack up that she passed out on Brian's shoulders and didn't wake up until we were more than halfway home. Poor girl wore herself out! Once we got home though, she got her second wind. We took showers and then put on pajamas and red, white, and blue glow necklaces and bracelets. Brian filled our air mattress and shoved it in the back of our van, and the three of us cuddled back there while we watched fireworks from our own front yard! It was a perfect way to end a wonderful Independence Day!

We are so blessed to live in this wonderful country!

Happy Birthday, USA!

Until next time! XoXoXo
